Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre Centenary Swing Ball

mashc centenary swing ball

This is an unmissable vintage event for those in our local area and a great opportunity to dress up in your finest 40s frockery!

The Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre Centenary Swing Ball will take place on 15th June in Montrose Town Hall. Entertainment on the night will feature the 12 piece Sellars Brothers Big Swing Band, dancers from the Esk Academy of Dancing (which kept the chief frocker on her toes throughout the 60s and early 70s) and singer Kirsten Tomlinson.

Attendees are encouraged to get 'in the mood' by dressing up 40s style, but it is not compulsory as long as they 'dress to impress'. So why not come along and enjoy some swing, jive, Latin and ballroom dancing, along with some fabulous 40s (and some 50s) classic music from Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra and others?

A raffle will be held on the night with proceeds going to SSAFA Forces Help. Tickets cost £25 and are available from Van Werninck Studio and Henry Hogg Newsagents, 78 High Street, Montrose.
